FAQ

How big is the court? Is the net adjustable?
The playing area measures 60' x 30', with additional area for serving (12' each end) and sidelines (8' each side). The entire court is 84' x 46'. Our net has 3 heights, sized for men, women and junior. We include official net chains to ensure the proper height.
Will refs allow this? Is this allowed by the MHSAA?
We recommend confirming with officials and the opposing team beforehand. Our courts have been successfully used in official MHSAA games, and officials consistently enjoy refereeing outdoor matches!
Will the court or net system cause damage?
No. Our net system is entirely portable and freely sits on top of our sport court tiles. No holes or anchors needed, protecting your surfaces beneath. Our court sits flat on top of all surfaces, from turf to concrete. The court is made up of thick plastic modular tiles that do not cause any damage. We recommend providing your own subfloor, but it is not required.
I want to add wood beneath the court, how much does this cost?
We recommend providing a subfloor. You would need to purchase (132) 4x8 sheets of 7/16 OSB, which should run around $1,050. If you order from Home Depot or a similar store, they will deliver it right to your venue free of charge. If you are a school, tax is exempt. We recommend storing the wood to use for future events. https://www.homedepot.com/p/OSB-7-16-Application-as-4ft-X-8-ft-Sheathing-Panel-386081/202106230
How do I get the court to my venue? Do you offer delivery?
We don't deliver the court to your venue, but we make pickup simple: we provide a 24' enclosed trailer in Fenton, MI, and the court will already be loaded and ready to go. Send someone with a 3/4 ton truck (diesel is ideal) to hook up and tow—you don't need to bring your own trailer. When you're done, return the trailer loaded up the same way for the next venue.
What all is included?
Detailed instructions and videos on how to assemble, 1x1 interlocking tiles, kevlar competition volleyball net with tensioning crank, poles and weighted bases, antennas, rope covers, post pads, base pads, a fully padded ref stand, floor tape and net chains to ensure proper net height.
Can I rent the court only for events other than volleyball?
Yes! You can rent just the court tiles without the net system for a discounted rate. Great for other sports, dances, community events, school spirit nights, fundraisers or live music. We just ask that you clean up any spills prior to teardown. You may add temporary tape to the court once assembled, but you will be expected to remove the tape and clean up any residue it leaves.
How much notice do you need to schedule? I don't have much time!
We only need 48 hours notice to schedule. We're very flexible and can work around your schedule. Reach out with any questions!
Do you accept school purchase orders?
Yes. We regularly work with schools and can process purchase orders. We'll provide any required documentation and vendor information to your district. We require a signed lease agreement, along with a Certificate of Insurance naming Court Anywhere LLC as additional insured for the event.
What locations do you service?
We service Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Contact us for a custom quote for other states.
Is there an extra charge for keeping the court an extra day or two for transportation?
No, there is no extra charge. We actually recommend picking up the court the day before your event to set it up early. This gives you time to work out any kinks (like if not enough volunteers show up) and allows players to practice on the court and get comfortable with it before the event. We also recommend disassembling the court immediately after the event when there are plenty of people available to help, rather than trying to coordinate everyone the next day. The court is usually requested back by the next day.
Do you offer installation or teardown services?
We do not offer installation since it takes a good army of 30+ volunteers (players, parents, football team, boosters, etc.) to assemble. The entire court can be assembled in roughly 2-3 hours. We recommend tearing down the court immediately after the event when there are plenty of people available to help, rather than trying to coordinate everyone the next day.
What tools do I need to assemble the court?
Lots of water and 30+ volunteers. And maybe some pizzas. We provide the rest!
How sturdy is the net system? Will the players be safe?
Each side is weighed down with 570 lbs of solid cement blocks (in addition the weight of the full metal ballasts) to prevent collapsing and floor creep. The system is designed to stand freely under tension and withstand the forces from active games.
How does pricing work for multiple days?
The base price covers one single day with unlimited usage. If you need the court for additional play dates, each additional day will be charged at 50% more than the base price per day. Buffer days for transportation and setup (typically the day before your event) are included at no extra cost. This allows you time to set up early and ensures you have plenty of help available for both assembly and teardown.
